Muscle mass naturally decreases as we age, making normal daily activities more difficult. Muscle mass decreases approximately 3–8% per decade after the age of 30, and this rate of decline is even higher after the age of 60. Fortunately, these changes are completely reversible! Current exercise science tells us that with regular resistance training, we can reverse the natural effects of aging on our muscle strength and even our bone density!
